Bill Cosby Goes on Trial for Sex Assault

One of Bill Cosby's accusers, Andrea Constand, testified against the 79-year-old actor on Tuesday and her testimony could potentially send the entertainer to prison for the rest of his life!

Cosby has pleaded not guilty to all charges, and claims that all sexual acts were consensual. Constand also said she stayed in contact with Cosby because she feared for her job. No one was in the room with Cosby and Constand on the night in question; it's a he-said, she-said issue.

The defense has attacked Johnson's credibility over discrepancies in her accounts, including the year with which the incident occurred. In Constand's telling, she was physically incapacitated during the assault and thoroughly shaken afterward, as a reasonable person might be after such a violation.

She hoped to show Constand changed her mind about the date of the alleged 2004 assault after reviewing them, but Constand said she never got the records from Temple University for the work-issued phone. "He didn't want that", Sewell said.

Bill Cosby came face-to-face with Andrea Constand, the woman alleging that he sexually assaulted her in 2004, during day two of his sexual assault trial in Norristown, Pennsylvania. "Things of that nature", she said.

But Constand told prosecutor Kristen Faden she was so out of it she couldn't tell the Fat Albert creator to stop.

But Mr Miller's timeline differed from Ms Johnson's.

"They're your friends. They'll take the edge off", she said Cosby told her.

Mr Miller testified that no transcript was made of the deposition itself, an agreement he struck with Ms Johnson's lawyer because of the sensitivity of her claims.

Constand said she first met Cosby in late 2002 at a women's basketball game at Temple University in Philadelphia, after being introduced by a donor. Cosby and Frazier were on screen together in the 1978 comedy "California Suite", which also starred Jane Fonda and Alan Alda.

She allegedly told investigators she had known Cosby six months at the time of the assault, but actually knew him for more than a year. "[He was] somebody I trusted, a mentor, and somewhat of an older figure to me", she said, according to report by LA Times.

"I said, 'I trust you, ' and I swallowed the pills", she told jurors. In my head I was trying to get my hands to move or my legs to move but I was frozen. "I was very limp and wasn't able to fight in any way". She said she continued to speak to Cosby after the alleged incident because of her job at the time, and because Cosby was an important donor to the school.

Constand reiterated what she told the court Tuesday: Cosby had made romantic overtures towards her, but she brushed him off. Montgomery County detectives? Surely there wasn't enough time left in the day for Constand to be questioned by the prosecution and the defense.

Constand's testimony is central to the case against the star of "The Cosby Show", one of the most popular shows in the history of television.

Constand will be back on the stand Wednesday to continue her testimony.

On Monday, Kelly Johnson, who once worked for the William Morris talent agent that represented Cosby, testified in court that she had been similarly drugged and assaulted by him in 1996.
