OH man charged in 2 killings is charged in 3 more slayings

19 June 2017, 02:00 | Rufus Hill

The man is suspected in the deaths of the women whose bodies were found at a home in nearby North Royalton on Sunday.

OH authorities say a suspect in the slayings of five people in two cities has now been charged in all five deaths.

Brinkman was taken into custody by Brunswick police at 5:24 a.m. Tuesday after about a nine-hour standoff at a home on Valley Forge Drive.

A vigil was held Wednesday at North Royalton High School in memory of Suzanne Taylor and her daughters, Taylor and Kylie, who were both North Royalton graduates.

Kent State junior fashion design major Taylor Pifer, her sister Kylie Pifer, and their mother Suzanne Taylor, were found dead in their home at 11489 Ridge Rd.in North Royalton Sunday night.

Court records don't list an attorney for Brinkman. The bodies of the victims from Lake Township, Rogell Eugene John II, 71, and Roberta Ray John, 64, were discovered at their residence in Lake Township. Police haven't said how they died.

The couple's son found their bodies Monday after driving from his home in Mount Vernon, Ohio to check on them because his father hadn't shown up for work.

No further details were available on the North Royalton case Tuesday afternoon.

On Tuesday, Stark County Sheriff George Maier said that Brinkman had been employed by the couple for several years.

Police in North Royalton wouldn't say what kind of relationship, if any, the suspect had with the slain mother and daughters. The Lake Township couple were found shot to death Monday afternoon in their home on Mt. He had allegedly dated the daughter of the couple, his ex-girlfriend, and was allegedly watching their home while they were taking a vacation.

Authorities confirmed a stun gun was ultimately used to subdue the suspect.

Brinkman was first arrested for receiving stolen property and unauthorized access of a computer system in Cuyahoga County, OH, in September 1998, according to the Daily Mail online.

An American college student who was released from a North Korean prison is finally home but in a coma and undergoing treatment at an OH hospital.
