New White House chief usher moves from Trump hotel

25 June 2017, 03:13 | Latoya Patrick

Members of the House panel are reportedly weighing whether any voter records stolen in a cyberattack suffered by the Illinois State Board of Elections a year ago were ultimately shared with Mr. Trump's presidential campaign, Time and CBS News both reported Thursday, citing unnamed sources. Trump has also blamed congressional Democrats for his legislative woes, even though Republicans control both houses of Congress.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions, sporting a short-sleeved collared shirt, smiled pleasantly as he worked on his dinner. A toddler kept trying to race past Secret Service agents towards the Oval Office despite his father's best efforts to control him. In one picture, she swings her daughter by the arms.

The president looked upon the crowd and joked that he and his wife have "developed friendships with some really great people - mostly".

The Trump White House has frequently turned to business associates to fill key positions, and Harleth's hiring marks a further mingling of former employees from the president's real estate career into administration positions.

Melania Trump on Friday named a senior manager at Washington's Trump International Hotel to serve as chief usher of the White House.

President Trump emphasized at the Congressional Picnic Thursday evening that "the outpouring of support for Steve and his family has been truly inspiring".

"I've been reading about it for the last couple of months about the seriousness of the horribleness of the situation with surveillance all over the place", Trump said.

Despite being the first lady and having the best chef's at the ready to cook whatever it is that you desire at the White House, some of the previous first ladies enjoyed an occasional lunch out with friends at one of the many upscale D.C. restaurants.

Trump made sure to give Scalise's two children special treatment at the picnic for all they've been through.
