1 Dead in Shooting At Takoma Red Line Metro Station, Police Release 3 Male Pics
Metro Transit Police arrested an 18-year-old accused of opening fire while on a Red Line train near Takoma, injuring his half-brother.
Brown has been charged in Montgomery County with first-degree assault.
Metro says that trains are single following between the Takoma and Silver Spring stops in light of a police examination at Takoma. Police said the video shows Brown pulling out a gun and firing multiple times. One bullet struck his half-brother while the other two struck the railcar. They exited the Metrorail system at Silver Spring Station a short time later.
The casualty was shot in the stomach, and transported to the doctor's facility, police say. He said the victim was conscious before being hospitalized.
Stessel said three suspects got off the train following the shooting and boarded a train going the opposite direction. Anyone with information on their identify or location should call the MTPD Criminal Investigations Division at 301-955-5000 or text MyMTPD (696873).
