Gurugram student death: Protesters vandalise school property
Gurugram: In a incident that is sending shock waives in the country's capital, a student's mutilated body was found in the washroom of a private school in Gurugram, Haryana, on Friday. In January last year, a Class 1 student, six-year-old Divyansh, was found dead in the water tank at school's Vasant Kunj branch. A knife with blood stains was also recovered from the spot, he said.
"They told me his health deteriorated suddenly". The school is located on Sohna road in Gurgaon.
A huge number of police forces have arrived at the school and were questioning the staff. Police are at the sport and the matter is being investigated.
Anju Dudeja a teacher at the school, said, "First we took the child to the hospital, the nurse said that we should give first aid first instead of taking him directly to the Artemis hospital".
According to NewsX reports, the student was found with his throat slashed, possibly by a knife, and it has been speculated as a premeditated murder.
The boy was rushed to the Artemis Hospital, but was declared dead. A police team, including forensic experts, is probing the case and has collected blood samples and fingerprints from the scene.
The dead body of the boy is sent for post-mortem for further investigation. They did not take care of my son. "He was happy. It's the primary responsibility of the school", Thakur said.
Meanwhile, enraged protesters vandalised school property after news apread about the murder.
Based on the CCTV footage of the incident, where the child was seen playing a few minutes before the tragedy, school principal, and four other staff members were arrested for causing death due to negligence.
The latest incident comes just a month after a 10-year-old boy mysteriously "fell" in the second floor corridor of the GD Goenka Public School in Indirapuram while he was walking to a classroom for an exam and died shortly after.
