Rapper and Houston native Bun B teamed up with SB Projects to present Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief, a one-hour special on NBC to help the relief efforts in Texas after historic flooding brought on by the hurricane.

The pair join a stacked lineup that includes Beyonce, Blake Shelton, George Strait, Jamie Foxx, Oprah Winfrey and George Clooney, among many others.

The telethon will come from three locations: Universal Studios lot, Times Square and Nashville's Grand Ole Opry with country star George Strait being beamed in from the Majestic Theater in San Antonio, Texas.

The September 12 fundraiser titled "Hand In Hand: A Benefit For Hurricane Harvey Relief" will be broadcast on US TV and will be live streamed on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter. "It's personal for me because it's home to me, it's in my city, but it's a national disaster". No fewer than seven charities will benefit from funds received, including the United Way, Habitat for Humanity, Feeding Texas and Comic Relief USA.

A Benefit for Hurricane Relief today announced additional beneficiaries in the wake of Hurricane Irma's devastation.

The "Hand in Hand" telethon will originate from Los Angeles but also will feature stages in NY and Nashville, Tennessee. A live performance from Strait's benefit is expected to be shown during the telethon.

"The telethon is going to be good", Braun said. The reason we want people to tune is because we want people to show who we are.
