New Sony PSVR CUH-ZVR2 Revealed

This means that PlayStation users can now watch HDR PS4 videos through their TV without having to unplug the headset, for example.

In partnership with Capital One, Sony will be introducing its new PlayStation credit card for all fans of the gaming console. For instance, the old one's model number CUH-ZVR1, and the new one is CUH-ZVR2.

Because the cables of CUH-ZVR1 and CUH-ZVR2 are different, you can not swap the Processor Units.

The new PlayStation VR headset will be discharged on October 14 in Japan, however, the date for North America is yet to be declared.

All existing Sony VR compatible games with work with the new headset model. Unfortunately, you can't just swap processor units with your old PS VR headset, as the cables are different, says Sony. The new PSVR headset is priced at a standard 44,980 yen ($398). The packaging for the refreshed headset will also be slightly different, with a new product image that shows the changes. Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Andrew House told Reuters recently that the virtual reality market should be more competitive, and that being a VR leader with a thin margin is not a very comfortable place to be in. In addition to this, there's also a streamlined connection cable. Regardless of when they arrive, however, all bundle pricing will remain the same, Sony's confirmed. Other titles will follow soon, as Sony is working on delivering the best user experience possible for its fans. None of the less, the new design will surely make VR gaming more comfortable specially the earphone plug-in and directly HDR support.

Aside from the increased number of points that players will get when shopping on the PSN Store, their first purchase will net them $50 worth of store code. The new VR Headset will be bundled with the PlayStation Camera that will cost ¥44,980 which is around $400 in the worldwide market.
