There will be more clinics available at other pharmacies, personal health providers, physicians and the Wyoming Health Fairs office located at 2835 Grand Avenue. "Usually just some local arm soreness that you could probably get from putting an empty needle in your arm and taking it out again". Two children were among the 87 deaths caused by influenza during the 2016-17 flu season. This year's flu shot offers protection against two influenza A viruses (an H1N1 and an H3N2 virus) and one influenza B virus.

Its a quick prick to protect yourself from the flu all season long, but not all flu vaccines are the same.

"It's extremely important that people get vaccinated, " said Dr. Wilma Wooten, the county public health officer.

Professor Paul Cosford, Public Health England's medical director, said: "This year we are offering the nasal spray vaccine to more children than ever".

Sir Bruce said: "Many people are very anxious that this winter will be particularly hard - the thing that I worry about most is that we have an outbreak of flu or an outbreak of norovirus which puts an added strain on the NHS service". They also offer flu shots for $25 for students without insurance. "Even when they're not 100 percent effective at preventing flu, they may reduce how sick you'll get and reduce your chance of being hospitalized".

"We recommend getting your flu vaccine early as opposed to waiting for the flu season to officially start".

The flu shot provides protection from the influenza virus strains expected to be circulating this season based on worldwide trends identified by the World Health Organization.

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is urging state residents to get vaccinated this season, noting that young children, individuals who are 65 years and older, pregnant women, and individuals with certain medical conditions are at greater risk of experiencing flu-related complications. Then they proceed to touch their eye, nose or mouth and the flu gets into their system.

A flu-like illness is often characterized by sudden onset of fever, sore throat, muscle aches, cough and weakness. Testing for the flu depends on which stage the virus is at in a person's body.

"Some kids who get influenza also, in addition to all that, get diarrhea with it, but it's not common in adults".
