President Macron may like to see himself as Jupiter, the king of gods, but his dog, Nemo, has failed to get the message.
Junior Minister for Planning Julien Denormandie and Junior Minister for Ecology Brune Poirson couldn't keep a straight face in front of their boss, when earnest discussions of matters of state in front of LCI cameras were interrupted by the sound of streaming liquid.
"I wondered what that noise was", Ms Poirson says as the meeting breaks into laughter.
The president and his wife Brigitte adopted the two-year-old black Labrador-Griffon cross earlier this year from an animal rescue centre.
The officials couldn't stop laughing over the incident with Macron saying that his pet had never behaved like that before and "was doing something quite exceptional".
Macron was then asked by another minister, "Does this happen often?" and replied, jokingly, "No". "You have sparked a totally unusual behaviour in my dog", he says.

The dog had apparently become depressed after moving into a smaller living space and repeatedly attacked Chirac.
