OnePlus 5T shows up in Geekbench database with Android 7.1.1 on board

OnePlus Wireless Charging

Rumours have suggested that the OnePlus 5T's price will not be increased, but more confirmation in this regard is necessary. It seems we did not have to wait very long for that with one reviewer posting his unboxing video of the OnePlus 5T to his YouTube channel before removing it when he realised he was not meant to just yet. The article has since been taken down, with the website explaining that it did not receive any information on an embargo date when OnePlus sent a review sample of the OnePlus 5T. But hey, at least he showed the world what the OnePlus 5T looks like.

Apart from this, the OnePlus 5T smartphone would feature a Fingerprint Sensor at the back panel of the device.

Upon opening the box, the YouTuber reveals the OnePlus 5T reviewer's guide inside. OnePlus improved on the f/2.0 lens of the secondary module found on the OnePlus 5, as both of the OnePlus 5T's sensors will now be mounted behind f/1.7 lenses with a focal length of 27.22mm.

Interestingly, the OnePlus 5T smartphone serves a traditional design.

Clearly, the display is the differentiating factor. Despite having lesser bezels with a 6-inch display, it is still bigger in size than the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Xiaomi MI MIX 2. The overall look is similar to that of the Oppo R11s. But there's something new here.

The OnePlus 5T has always been rumoured to feature an 18:9 aspect ratio display, and that has been confirmed today. The fingerprint scanner now sits right above the OnePlus logo at the back, and it's thankfully in the centre.

The dual camera protrusion too has changed.

In terms of design and build quality, the smartphone follows the trend with full metal unibody construction with a camera bump on the back.

The launch of the OnePlus 5T is just around the corner but, leaks of the phone appear to have picked up its pace.

The OnePlus 5T is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and Adreno 540 GPU with either 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM. The phone would also come up with a dual rear camera setup which is a trend nowadays on most of the latest high-end smartphones. Among other details, the leak reveals that the OnePlus 5T will come with Apple iPhone X like FaceID to unlock the smartphone. Of course, the headphone jack still has its place in the arms of OnePlus.
