For broadcasting to work, all devices have to be signed in to the same Google account.

Google is giving the Assistant a new feature that'll save you from wearing out your voice. Else, if you have multiple Google Home devices in your house, you can broadcast one message to all these Home devices.

Once in the Devices tab, you'll see a list of supported partners with a new entry for ecobee.

Toronto-based ecobee has announced their smart thermostats now support Google Assistant, letting users control them with Google's voice assistant.

The user must have Google Assistant on their phones and at least one Google Home device.

The feature which will be rolled out to the US, Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom initially, will work from anywhere with a cell connection, The Verge reported.

"Today's announcement continues our commitment to offer Google Assistant users some of the most innovative smart home technology on the market".

Everyday messages can also be broadcast, such as time for breakfast/lunch/dinner, time to leave, and the like, which will be accompanied by a sound. Rather than yelling or texting them, you can broadcast your voice through Google Home.

The feature can be used whenever the user wants pass along a message to notify their friends or family.

One example that Google highlights is that you can tell your family ahead of time that you're coming home by saying, "OK Google, broadcast I'm on my way home!"

Google's help centre has more information, here. Since that time, the firm has expanded, not only making it available in more countries but also expanding its offerings with the Home Mini and Home Max. The feature is rolling out to Google Assistant-enabled smartphones and smart speakers set to the English language in the US, Australia, Canada, and the UK.
