World Cup Group D: Argentina, Iceland, Croatia, Nigeria

World Cup Nigeria draws Argentina for record 5th time

Iceland is not a pushover, and many in the soccer world feel that Argentina, a two-time World Cup victor, drew one of the toughest groups in the tournament.

"Absolutely after the World Cup we are going to get a divorce from Croatia, " Hallgrimsson told reporters Friday at the State Kremlin Palace.

Sampaoli also said he considers Croatia the toughest opponent, adding: "Croatia has an excellent midfield line with Luka Modric, Ivan Rakitic and Ivan Perisic".

"It will be more hard now than before because they know how we play and so we can't surprise them".

Nigeria's plan in qualifying from the Group next year could seek to imitate the plan from 2014.

After the Albiceleste were placed in Group D with Croatia, Iceland and Nigeria.

Seyi Dada-Martins, a multimedia consultant, also said: "It is a very dicey group we have been drawn into, but I'm confident in the abilities of the set of players we have to scale through the group stage". We are realistic, we wait for the draw and afterwards, we will organise our planning and our friendly games.

"This is the youngest team in Nigeria's history in the World Cup".

The competition, set for Russian Federation, has tossed up some spicy placements, with Portugal and Spain poised to face off in their first match, while England and Belgium will square up in their last.

Another African country who after the draw was counted lucky like Nigeria is Egypt, though at a point theya will face the host country as they are in Group A along side Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Uruguay.

"I think Croatia is a bigger threat in that group".

Iceland will be the smallest nation to ever play in a World Cup, and Iceland captain Aron Gunnarsson admitted they will have their work cut out for them.

While this is not the best possible group the Super Eagles could have fallen into, it is certainly not the worst. Iceland is a good team, they are strong and they have the best fans in Europe.

"Anyway, we should be able to make it to the round of 16".
