Antonio Brown cites 'karma' after vicious hits mar Steelers' win

On Monday night, December 4, the Pittsburgh Steelers pulled off a last minute 23-20 win over the despised Cincinnati Bengals in Cincy.

The Bengals have been part of this discussion several times, as linebacker Vontaze Burfict was suspended five games (later reduced to three) for a preseason hit.

JuJu Smith-Schuster, who scored a touchdown against the Ravens and had 47 yards receiving in the Steelers' 26-9 victory at M&T Bank Stadium on October 1, has been suspended for one game by the National Football League for a violation of safety-related playing rules. Burfict was carted off too. However, he did eventually walk into the locker room under his own power. Burfict and A.J. Green were both ejected from games this season but did not receive suspensions. Brown, who caught the game-tying pass on the play, remained in the game. After that in Week 15 is perhaps the game Pittsburgh has marked on its schedule since the day it came out, as the New England Patriots will be coming to town with home field advantage through the AFC playoffs likely at stake. Furthermore, given the history with these two teams, bang-bang plays like that were to be expected.

"I like that. I like that", said Brown of the block.

"And me just playing ball, I hit him".

Week 13 of the National Football League season was one of the more eventful weekends, to say the least. Also, I believe that that's not me. You then "celebrated" the play by standing over him and taunting him. I don't know. It's flawed, that's the best way I can put it.

Although there is no doubt that the Steelers rookie made helmet-to-helmet contact with Burfict, the hit still occurred before the whistle.

"I think the league's been very proactive on that, and I think the players have respect for each other and have a lot of respect for the game. I'm sure he's sorry for that".

The Bengals retaliated with safety George Iloka's helmet shot on Brown's 6-yard touchdown in the back of the end zone with 3:55 to play.
