'Civ VI' arrives on iPad today with quite the discount

Sid Meier's Civilization VI

In case you wanted something engrossing to keep you distracted from family squabbles this holiday, a special gift just arrived: Civilization VI, which is now available as a $30 purchase for iPad via the App Store. Not only that, due to hardware limitations, the game will require either an iPad Air 2, iPad 2017, or any iPad Pro.

Customers can download the 3.14 GB game and play the first 60 turns for free.

We tried the game out and found that it is indeed the full Civilization VI experience, as promised. It's also important to note this iPad version is only the base Civilization VI game without any downloadable content. And of course, the kinds of prices developers would need to charge in order to make ports of recent games feasible isn't really what most mobile game players are willing to spend. The game has sold more than 8 million copies. The Civilization series has a history on mobile devices. IPad users are thrilled to see that their favorite game finally got rebuilt, introducing some new specs.

This version of the game doesn't have support for controllers, but smart keyboards are supported. It is available for $4.99 on the App Store.

Super Evolution 2 (Free) As an evolution and upgraded version of Super Evolution, Super Evolution 2 - Monster League RPG Game will definitely EXCEED the expectation of its old players and other new pocket monsters' gaming lovers! However, with the release of a full game for the iPad, it looks like the franchise is eyeing the mobile industry as its target market. The rest is the same and now you can touch the options instead of using a mouse to guide them on screen. Making Civilization VI run on a tablet is a much more impressive feat, though.

While the iPad version does support multiplayer modes, the game will only work on a local network.

Plus, they're thinking about supporting DLC and Rise And Fall expansions in the future.
