Firefighter's home damaged in Christmas Eve fire

A fire destroyed a home in Houston, Washington County on Sunday, Christmas Eve.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found a garage fire connected to an apartment building.
At least four people were home at the time, they all made it safely with no injuries.
The cause of the fire is now under investigation. It took about 24 firefighters to put out the flames.
According to Mobile Fire-Rescue, a call came out around 5:18 p.m. for a residential fire on Jessie Street in Mobile.
The City of Spartanburg, North Spartanburg, Una, Hilltop and Westview Fire Departments responded to the blaze. It was one of three red bulbs added over the weekend. Grand Rapids Fire Chief Don Bohn said the fire was contained to the kitchen, but there was smoke damage throughout the entire house.
Also on Christmas Eve, there was a vehicle fire on Kingston Court in New Sudbury, outside a residence. The fire heavily damaged the first floor of the house before it was extinguished.
