Amazon Lists Nintendo Switch Games
After selling 10 million Switches and almost on the way to selling 14 million units within the console's first year on store shelves, Nintendo is looking to sell 20 million units in the next Japanese fiscal year. While the new hardware started Nintendo's 2017 rise, it was blockbuster releases from its two venerable and massively successful franchises that carried the momentum.
Among the games that are a potential contender for the Direct include Super Smash Bros. and Pokemon for the Nintendo Switch. It seems that the developers are looking to leave no platform left unturned with their approach of making the game as accessible as possible.
The Switch launched with the long-awaited Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and enjoyed another gargantuan tent-pole release in October with Super Mario Odyssey.
It isn't just about Mario and Zelda. We are proud to award Nintendo with the titles of Shacknews Best Developer and Publisher of the Year. And when you have a platform that is in the hands of kids and families then it opens up new opportunities for any game developers to access new markets. Amazon has released its list of the best-selling games from 2017, and Nintendo managed to take seven of the top 10 spots. None of the listed games have been given titles, but they add to evidence that Nintendo is hosting a Direct live stream this month loaded with surprises. This decision lead to one of my favorite new characters of the year, Rabbid Peach. The main thing Nintendo will want to avoid is the development of piracy tools, like the R4 back in the DS days, or the Gateway cards that released for the 3DS.
A HOMEBREW KIT could be the key to getting more games onto the Nintendo Switch, as hackers have figured out how to crack the console through its Nvidia chipset.
