Everton Complete £27m Deal For Turkish International Striker

Everton land Besiktas striker Tosun

The Everton manager said on Thursday, "I think it is personal terms, [that] is the final stage".

Tosun, a 26-year-old Turkey global, won the Super Lig twice with Besiktas in 2016 and 2017.

"He said he really wanted me here and to feel that, of course, is another big reason to come to Everton".

No financial details were released but British media reported that the Premier League club will pay around 27 million pounds ($36.57 million) for the Turkey global. "I'm really excited to work with my new team-mates because Everton has really big names, big players".

The Toffees announced the deal for the Besiktas man at half-time of their FA Cup clash at local rivals Liverpool.

Everton have been desperately lacking a striker since the £75m departure of Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United in the summer.

'I bring my skills here and everybody is going to see what kind of player I am. Also I can use both feet the same and I believe I am a good striker in the box.

'The Tottenham game will be the first game I am available for and I'm very excited about it already'. He is another who has not played a league game since Allardyce replaced Koeman in charge, and with reports earlier in the campaign suggesting he was sent home from training for a perceived lack of effort, the future of the Belgium global is likely to be elsewhere.

Tosun scored 20 goals last season to help Besiktas retain their Turkish Super League crown.

Orman flew to London to try and reach an agreement with Everton as a transfer deal they hoped to do swiftly once the January transfer window opened threatened to become drawn out. If we get the transfer done and he is successful for us by scoring goals it will be an exceptionally good deal for us.

"We looked at the qualities of the player, his talent and goalscoring, and his resilience too".
