Trump Delivers Blow To Steve Bannon’s Pungent Corpse With “Sloppy Steve”

"I support President Trump and the platform upon which he was elected", Mercer said.

Call it Bannon's burn book.

Klavan argued that Trump's statement on Bannon yesterday - saying that he "lost his mind" and that he played little to no role in Trump's victory - shows that Trump has had it with the Breitbart boss.

Steve Bannon's financial backer is distancing herself from the populist flamethrower.

Not surprisingly, it is Breitbart News, the media organ that Mr Bannon runs and which has always been the vehicle to promote his slate of populist "anti-establishment" Republican candidates.

White House officials describe the president as furious at Bannon's criticisms, laid out in an explosive new book that quoted the former aide questioning Trump's competence and describing a June 2016 meeting at Trump Tower between Donald Trump Jr., Trump campaign aides and a Russian lawyer as "treasonous" and "unpatriotic". "He has no earthly idea whether he's coming or going, just like it was when he was president of the United States". If you look at what Steve Bannon is doing, if you look at Breitbart News, it is the only news site in the world which truly endorses the ['Make America Great Again"] agenda, and it doesn't need to be "either/or, ' " he told the BBC. Indeed, he has gladly done so in the past - in 2016, when he backed Paul Nehlen's hilariously impotent attempt to oust Paul Ryan from his congressional seat in Wisconsin's first district; and previous year, when he threw his weight behind the Senate candidacy of Alabama Republican Roy Moore, even as the former judge imploded and ended up handing the seat to a Democrat. "There has not been a more destructive presidency than George Bush's", Bannon said, speaking at a banquet convention for members of the California Republican Party, TIME reported.
