Kevin Love expected to miss 6-8 weeks with fractured hand

ESPN: Clippers agree on deal to trade Blake Griffin to Pistons

Report: Pistons acquire Blake Griffin from Clippers

Kevin Love suffered a broken bone in his left hand during the first quarter of the Cavaliers' game against the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night.

ESPN's Brian Windhorst is reporting that the injury will sideline Love for six to eight weeks. He will not return to the game and his status moving forward remains unclear.

Following x-rays, it was released that he suffered a non-displaced fracture in his left hand fifth metacarpal.

Love's injury will likely affect the Cavs' plans as the February 8 trading deadline approaches.

Love underwent surgery on the same hand in October 2009 that required three screws to be inserted.

Last season, Love underwent minor knee surgery on February 14, causing him to miss the All-Star Game five days later.

The 29-year-old Love has missed only one game this season, and he's the Cavs' second-leading scorer behind LeBron James. So unfortunately for Love, he might miss back to back All-Star games.
