Nicole Eggert And Scott Baio

On Tuesday, Eggert filed a police report with Los Angeles police against Scott Baio, her lawyer, Lisa Bloom, told the Daily News.

You may read Alexander Polinsky's statement as well as watch the video where Sara Gilbert became overwhelmed with emotion below. He also says it was after the show stopped shooting, and Eggert was of age.

There has been no official reply from Baio yet, but previously, his rep had told TMZ: "We've been demanding since a year ago that Nicole Eggert bring her story to the authorities".

Nicole Eggert claims she came close to desperate measures during the years when co-star Scott Baio was allegedly abusing her.

"We appreciate the Los Angeles police detectives' interest in this case", Bloom's statement continued, "and we will fully cooperate with their investigation".

Eggert used Twitter to publicly accuse Baio of sexually assaulting her when she was a minor working on the 1980s sitcom. She's now fielding requests on social media for anyone who may have witnessed the alleged incidents.

"Charles in Charge" premiered in 1984 and ran for five seasons (with a break from 1985-1987), ending in 1990.

He claimed in a broadcast on Facebook Live that she "seduced me", and that she wasn't a minor at the time.

Polinsky starred alongside Eggert and Baio on Charles in Charge as one of the Powell siblings, Adam. Eggert went public with accusations that Baio molested her beginning at age 14 and had sex with her before she reached the California age of consent, which is and was 18.

A few days later, Baio appeared on "Good Morning America", and acknowledged that the pair did have sex, but that it was consensual. It's good that she finally has, even if it's part of a publicity campaign. "I apologised for pushing her too hard and should have been more sympathetic. And she knows I would never shame her, and she can see how I'm handling this, and that I would do the same exact thing for her". Baio has previously denied Eggert's sexual abuse allegations, saying she is "provably wrong" and "deliberately lying". "I had to sit down and tell her why there were all these cameras outside of our house, and why people keep on asking me these questions", she says. Her appearance on Dr. Oz had also been stalled while the producers vetted the allegations; her interview was initially filmed on January 10, but didn't air until after both Eggert and Baio went public with their claims.

Speaking on television last week Eggert said she had not aired the allegations previously because she was ashamed, and that she had been emboldened to speak up in the wake of the #MeToo movement. "I didn't want anybody to look at me and think I was weak".
