It seems that even feminists aren't immune to mansplaining, with Canadian Prime Minister and all round champion of women's rights Justin Trudeau recently coming under fire.

Millions of American workers would be harmed and their lives disrupted in the short term through a thickening of the border and greater uncertainty, even if Canada and the United States can finalize a deal down the road, he said.

Canada will seek a good and fair deal at the negotiating table on NAFTA in order to create a "win-win-win" situation with the United States and Mexico, said Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who was visiting here Wednesday.

'There are lots of things on which we can find common ground, ' Trudeau said diplomatically of Trump, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The video went viral, with Twitter users coming out in force to condemn the Prime Minister. Trump's tough talk about trade deals and immigration changed the political climate in the United States.

We knew dad jokes could make us groan, but who knew they could spark controversy? "Canada and Mexico keep raising worker mobility issues, but the US won't discuss it", he said.

During his trip, Trudeau will also meet with other technology executives, including eBay Inc (EBAY.O) chief executive officer Devin Wenig. "That could cause immediate disruption for the tech community" on both sides of the border, said Daniel Ujczo, an global trade lawyer based in Columbus, Ohio, who has been part of the talks, now in their sixth round.

Last month, U.S. Trade Rep. Robert Lighthizer said talks to rewrite NAFTA are progressing very slowly. Trudeau spoke casually with the students all afternoon and took questions from Axelrod.

"The point of those meetings is to portray Canada as a good place to invest. and to explore opportunities related to job growth with those prominent business leaders who may be interested in expanding their operations in Canada", said spokesman Cameron Ahmad. I think there's broad consensus that the agreement needs to be updated.

Trudeau left the stage to a standing ovation from the auditorium nearly filled to its capacity of about 1,000, wading through the crowd of students and shaking the occasional hand as The Tragically Hip's "Courage" played over the loudspeakers.

His first stop in Chicago today is set to be anything but easy.

Donald Trump Jr. only made his comment after David Axelrod welcomed Trudeau to the University of Chicago. Gov. Bruce Rauner met separately with Trudeau and pointed out that IL does a great amount of tourism with Canada.

While the politician's interjection garnered a round of applause from the audience, people on social media were not so receptive.

"At the same time, we need to improve NAFTA", he said.

The two leaders are not scheduled to meet during Trudeau's four-day trip to the USA this week.
