Oscars 2018: Taraji P. Henson Might Have Cursed Ryan Seacrest

Time's Up pins and talk about the #MeToo movement were tamer on the red carpet than at the Golden Globes in January.

The result? The night's major stars responded with an obvious snub, and simply avoided interviews with Seacrest. NBCUniversal, the parent company of E!, opted to keep him as host of its red-carpet coverage after an investigation by an independent counsel. In order of appearance, he spoke with: Sofia Carson, Diane Warren, Miguel, Eiza Gonzalez, Kelly and Mark Consuelos, Allison Janney, Christopher Plummer, Andy Serkis, Richard Jenkins, the cast of Get Out (Bradley Whitford, Lil Rel Howery, Betty Gabriel), Donald Sutherland, Rita Moreno, Eiza Gonzalez, Mary J. Blige, Common, Andra Day, Taraji P. Henson, Whoopi Goldberg, and Tiffany Haddish.

Seacrest had a noticeably low turnout on the carpet this year, failing to land interviews with Viola Davis, Ashley Judd, Margot Robbie and Sandra Bullock, among many other familiar faces. "You know what I mean?" she said, staring at him directly in the eyes with a slight smile.

'The universe has a way of taking care of taking care of good people, ' the Hidden Figures said to Seacrest, as she touched him on the chin.

The 43-year-old has been accused of sexual harassment by his former stylist Suzie Hardy, allegations he vehemently denies. And on the red carpet, too, people are seizing opportunities to roast him for being there. "I really didn't. I was battling finally being in a decent financial position to breathe and be a mom, that I didn't have to be freaking out all the time, and then dealing with this infantile celebrity person who was testing me on every level and manipulating me and knew that I was in a vulnerable position". Hardy says the results of an E! investigation forced her to come forward now, CBS News correspondent Jericka Duncan reports.

But Henson later insisted to People magazine her comments were "misconstrued". Without naming Hardy, he denied the claims.
