Trump calls Mueller probe an 'attack' on US

The White House just signaled which way Trump is leaning on firing Mueller

Zuckerberg: Facebook Is Working With Special Counsel Mueller in Probe

Chuck Schumer has warned President Trump against firing Special Counsel Robert Mueller after the Federal Bureau of Investigation raided his lawyer's office and home on Monday.

The shocking raid on the office, home, and Manhattan hotel room of President Trump's longtime personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, directed by a rogue independent prosecutor is the latest outrage in an out-of-control investigation aimed at reversing the results of the 2016 election.

The president didn't bat away the idea of firing Mueller, saying people have advised him to take that action: "Why don't I just fire Mueller?" Trump did not initially request payment for the appearance, but Cohen contacted Schoen at one point to request a $150,000 honorarium, The Times reported.

"I think it's very likely that they will be looking at the source of that money paid to Stormy Daniels, and any other women", said Mimi Rocah, a former federal prosecutor in NY. We'll see what happens, but I think it's really a sad situation.

"And many people have said, 'You should fire him.'" Trump added.

Trump referred to the investigators, or perhaps the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as the "most biased group of people", and said they have "the biggest conflicts of interest I have ever seen".

Agents reportedly seized communications between Cohen and Trump, tax documents and records related to Cohen's $130,000 payment, made days before the 2016 election.

Trump answered questions about Daniels for the first time last week, saying he had no knowledge of the payment made by Cohen and he didn't know where Cohen had gotten the money.

The revelation comes as Mueller investigates the flow of foreign money into the Trump campaign and Trump's personal business.

Caught off guard and furious with the encroaching inquiry, the president showed a flare of temper watching cable news coverage of the raid Monday afternoon, summoning lawyers Ty Cobb and Jay Sekulow to get their opinion of what was happening. I've given over a million pages in documents to the special counsel.

The president is criticizing the federal raid of the offices of his personal attorney, Michael Cohen.

Pinchuk is more widely known for his ties to Hillary Clinton and her namesake foundation, which he has donated more than $13 million to since 2006.The conference that he paid Trump to record a speech for focused on developing better ties between Ukraine, the US and the European Union.

Cohen is now a subject of scrutiny in two criminal investigations, one of which is being overseen by the SDNY and the other by Mueller's office.

Under Justice Department regulations, Mueller is required to consult with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein when his investigators uncover new evidence that may fall outside his original mandate.

"This is about humanity, we're talking about humanity, and it can't be allowed to happen", he said in the earlier meeting with his Cabinet.

Last June, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said that Trump had confidence in Mueller and had no intention of firing him.

One of the things they said: "I fired Comey".

A supply near the Trump authorized crew instructed Fox Information' Catherine Herridge that the raid on Cohen was "aggressive" and created to "squeeze the president".

Mueller's interest in Pinchuk stands out as the Ukrainian does not have any known ties to the Russian government.
