RNC launches 'LyinComey' website to discredit former FBI director
The site features various rebuttals of anticipated Comey attacks - including the RNC's apparent belief that Comey will assert Trump obstructed the Russian Federation probe. He reportedly saw news of his firing on televisions playing in the room and at first thought it was a prank.
Those assessments mostly came following his 11th-hour move to revive an investigation into Hillary Clinton's unsecured private email server just days before the 2016 presidential election. There's even an accompanying website, lyincomey.com, which will be updated as Comey's media tour continues and his book is released.
Clinton has blamed Comey's decision, along with dozens of other factors, for her devastating loss to Donald Trump.

The opposition research website targets Comey directly with charges like accusations that the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director is portraying "himself as an innocent victim fired by President Trump" and that "James Comey wants to portray himself as a non-partisan, by-the-book Boy Scout rather than a politically motivated Washington insider".
The "Lyin' Comey" website quotes dozens of Democrats, including Nancy Pelosi, the House minority leader, to remind the public that Mr Comey has been criticised by both sides of the political spectrum.
Comey also claimed in Senate testimony that he was defamed by the administration over their justification of his termination.
"How odd is it for you to sit here and compare the president to a mob boss?".
In a teaser clip from an ABC interview with Comey set to air Sunday, "This Week" host George Stephanopoulos appears to react to Comey likening the president to a mafia don.
