"Sweden has many sustainable modern solutions to offer India", Swedish PM Löfven said in a joint press conference from the two leaders. A joint statement was issued last night by the Nordic nations, after Prime MinisterNarendra Modi met the leaders of the nations, reaffirmed their support for the UN and Secretary-General's reform efforts to ensure that the world body is more effective to the realities.
'Innovation, investment and manufacturing are our main partnership dimensions, ' stated Modi during his stay in the Swedish capital, according to a statement by the Indian foreign ministry on its website. The Summit emphasized the India's strong commitment to innovation and digital initiatives as key to prosperity and sustainable development, with national flagship programmes such as Make in India, Start-up India, Digital India and Clean India.
The two sides also agreed to exchange know-how and explore cooperation in the areas of electro-mobility as well as renewable fuels.
The Joint Action plan is aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields including energy, clean technology and Trade.
Modi added that India and Sweden have also made a decision to strengthen cooperation in security, with an emphasis on cyber security.

The two sides made a decision to explore the finalisation of a bilateral agreement on exchange and mutual protection of classified information for cooperation in defence.
