Apple's working on AR/VR headset with 16K resolution for 2020 launch

Report: Apple working on wireless AR/VR headset…
But while, rivals like Microsoft, Google, and arch-rival Samsung have made giants leaps in the field of AR and virtual reality (VR), Apple has seemed rather bullish on the technology, having so far only integrated it in its latest iOS version.
As per CNET, a familiar source had quoted that Apple is planning on releasing the AR/VR enabled device in 2020, and will also offer some specs which are until now not seen on any of the production head-mounted (HMD).
Apple is reportedly working on a headset which will dabble in both virtual reality (VR) as well as augmented reality (AR). Rumour is that the device will have dual 8k displays, and have a dedicated box using short range high-speed wireless technology to cut the cords found on current generation headsets.
VR systems today typically use a screen with a resolution of around 1200 x 1200, far short of 8K. I have no doubts about Tibken's reporting-Apple has very likely been working on AR and VR glasses and headset designs for the past few years.
Apple's tryst with AR and VR aren't new.
The 8K displays will make VR and AR images look more realistic. If this is the case, Apple could potentially announce the product ahead of time towards the end of next year, with a launch following several months later. The now targeted release date for Apple headset is in 2020, but plans for the device may still change, or perhaps even get canceled.
The box, which currently resembles a PC tower, will use a custom Apple processor that is more powerful than anything available right now.
To put that into perspective, the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive only have 1,080 x 1,200 resolution per eye, barely meeting full HD.
The headset will also have cameras on the outside that will detect its surroundings. If only Apple comes out with one in the days to come, that is. The high quality video, alongside a more powerful chip, will help Apple create experiences that don't cause nausea if things get shaky or move around a lot.

A Nobel prize for Trump and Kim is no joke
Trump and Kim have gone from exchanging heated barbs to agreeing to meet in person, which could happen as soon as next month. Earlier in 2018, a Trump nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize was declared to be fake by the Norwegian Nobel Institute.
