Avengers: Infinity War brings together 22 superheroes to fight one supervillain Thanos.

"Avengers: Infinity War" continues to rule over the box office with an Infinity Gauntlet-clad fist, earning an estimated $112.5 million in its second weekend at the box office. That film, of course, had the benefit of the Christmas holiday, which helped push it towards a record breaking $149.2 million second weekend.

Domestically, the movie's $112.47 million take is the second-best second weekend ever, passing the $111.6 million second weekend by "Black Panther". Only $900k separates two Marvel films from the title.

A 43-year-old man from Andhra Pradesh was found dead on 1st May at the Cinehub Multiplex theatre in the Kadapa district during the screening of the Marvel's new film Avengers: Infinity War.

As the 19th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Infinity War is Marvel's 6th movie to top $1 billion globally, and the 17th for Disney, out of a total of 34 films to reach the milestone in industry history.

It took Avengers: Infinity War just 11 days to top $1 billion at the global box offices. Anthony and Joe Russo have brought the story alive on the big screen with actors like Robert Downey Jr, Mark Ruffalo, Benedict Cumberbatch and Scarlett Johansson.

Whether it can join "The Force Awakens", "Avatar", and "Titanic" in the elite $2 billion club will depend on how it performs in later weeks, when it will have to share theaters with other anticipated films like "Deadpool 2" and "Solo", as well as counter-programming blockbusters like "Ocean's 8".
