Spirit-infused cooking for spirited occasions

"Like you, I will continue to support Arsenal for the rest of my life".

"I would like to thank everybody at the club who makes this club so special".

Wenger won three Premier Leagues and a record seven FA Cups.

I don't want it to end it but unfortunately it has come to an end.

Wenger is bequeathing his successor a place in the Europa League, rather than the Champions League.

Say what you like about Wenger's last few seasons with Arsenal but you can't deny that he's a true gentleman.

Arsene Wenger said he is looking forward to a fresh start despite his sadness at bidding farewell to Arsenal after 22 years in charge as manager.

The game began with a mark of respect for Wenger as both sides along with the match officials stood in a guard of honour, while the fans wore T-shirts reading "Merci Arsene", which translates to "Thank you Arsene".

His former assistant Pat Rice and the club's former goalkeeper Bob Wilson made a speech and awarded the 68-year-old with a commemorative gold Premier League trophy - awarded to the club after the unbeaten "Invincible" title-winning season.

"Thank you for having me such a long time", he said.

"This stadium I have worked on every single part from your press conference to the technical areas, so it is part of myself", said Wenger, who was given a hero's reception on a final lap of honour at full-time.

A break may be on the cards after more than two decades at Arsenal, but whatever the future holds, the Frenchman is adamant football will remain at the centre of his life. "I think to finish in the top four is a massive success for the club".

"I don't know [about a break]", Wenger added.

"At a big club I feel you have that responsiblity and for the supporters to have a special experience when they come to the club".

In Wenger's final home match as Arsenal boss, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang book-ended the scoring, with Alexandre Lacazette, Sead Kolasinac and Alex Iwobi also finding the back of the net.
