RED Hydrogen One Will Be Coming To AT&T, Verizon This Summer

RED's Hydrogen One will be available at AT&T and Verizon this summer

The RED Hydrogen One

The world's first holographic media machine-the Red Hydrogen One-will make full 4-View holography a reality.

The real highlight of the Red Hydrogen One is its 5.7-inch holographic display. A summer release was promised and looks like it will become a reality soon as both Verizon and AT&T are reported to carry the RED HYDROGEN ONE. It has a 5.7-inch screen that's created to offer a 4-View (4V) "holographic mode" which displays a "better than 3D image" without glasses, according to Red founder Jim Jannard.

When RED announced the Hydrogen One project in August, 2017, designers were unsure if any wireless carriers would be interested in the device. We also know the phone will be compatible with modules similar to how the Moto Z or Essential Phone operate.

YouTube personality Marques Brownlee saw a prototype of the phone previous year and was impressed by the holographic screen despite some rough edges that Red will presumably smooth over before the phone launches.

"Red Hydrogen One was designed with cutting-edge technology that simply can't be described".

Along with this, AT&T and Verizon have revealed that the phone will launch alongside a hydrogen network - an exclusive network of channels with 4-View content, including movies, music and games. "A phone like this deserves the best network in the country, which is why we can't wait to bring it to Verizon customers later this year".

AT&T is holding a demo on June 2 to 3 at the AT&T SHAPE at Warner Bros.

A recent report from PC Mag described some specs of the Hydrogen One.

The Hydrogen One's display grew from light-field display technology originally developed by Menlo Park, CA-based Leia, in which Red took an investment previous year. The summer launch seems to be for real as the two carriers announced the availability of the revolutionary smartphone.
